Stovetop vs. Range
Gas or electric ranges that have stove knobs that are removable and vertically oriented.


Gas or electric stove tops that have stove knobs horizontally oriented.


If you have a stovetop, don't worry!
Ome Gen 2 will expand compatibility to gas and electric stovetops. Get on the Gen 2 list now to be the first to hear about its release!
Stove Characteristics

Bezels around the stove shaft that are removable.
*Bezels that are removable typically have screws that hold the bezel in place.
*If the bezels on your stove are removable, you may remove them at your discretion. Ome is not responsible or liable for any stove damage, change in stove performance, loss of warranty coverage, or any hazards that may arise from this modification.

Bezels around the stove shaft that are not removable.
**Bezels that are not removable will not have screws that can be loosened and removed.

Rubber or plastic rings around the stove shaft that are removable.
*If the rings around the shaft are removable, you may remove them at your discretion. Ome is not responsible or liable for any stove damage, change in stove performance, loss of warranty coverage, or any hazards that may arise from this modification.
Rubber or plastic rings around the stove shaft that are not removable.

Depressions around the shaft that have a diameter of less than 35mm.
Depressions around the shaft that have a diameter of greater than 35mm.

The width of the stove surface must be greater than or equal to 71mm.
If the width is less the 71mm Ome may be compatible, but you need to make sure the oven door doesn’t hit the knob when it is opened.
Shaft Characteristics

Shafts that are 75mm (2.9in) apart or greater.
Shafts that are less than 75mm (2.9in) apart.

Shafts that extend more than 5mm (0.2in) beyond the surface of the stove.
Shafts that extend less than 5mm (0.2in) beyond the stove surface OR recess beneath the stove surface.

IF THE STOVE SHAFT IS SHORTER THAN 13mm, the hole around shaft must be greater than 28mm in diameter (for the allen wrench to fit for installation).
*If the stove shaft is greater than 13mm, disregard this requirement.
IF THE STOVE SHAFT IS SHORTER THAN 13mm and the hole around shaft is less than 28mm in diameter (the allen wrench will not fit in order to install the Knob).

Shafts that have a thickness (or diameter) of 6.5mm or less.
Shafts that have a thickness (or diameter) of greater than 6.6mm.
If your stove is not compatible with Ome today, don’t worry!
